StratusStation Group, Inc. was formed by individuals with a vision for a new and improved way of monitoring the weather in real time. Our idea was to deliver a network of live, controllable video feeds with real-time weather data via the internet. After months of research and development, our product is complete and providing services for groups nationwide. The StratusStation Team has a combined total of 120 years experience in telecommunications, computer programming, internet services, E-911 operations, electronic repair, and customer service.
StratusStation LIVE is a custom weather-monitoring application designed for the television broadcast industry. LIVE is a network of remote cameras and weather stations strategically located throughout the television station’s market area allowing more advanced monitoring of live weather conditions. A custom-built computer server offers video output of live, real-time broadcast-quality video.
The StratusStation LIVE software can display live video and weather data of up to four locations, simultaneously. This allows users to compare, track, and more accurately forecast rapidly-changing weather across the market area. Each LIVE server is able to connect with an unlimited number of sites, and all video and data are easily displayed on the "weather wall."
StratusStation E-LERT is a custom weather application designed for Emergency Management, 911, Homeland Security, and other Public Service Agencies. The hardware consists of a fully remote-controlled pan, tilt, and zoom camera with an integrated weather station operated from a custom computer server. E-LERT can be mounted as a permanent fixture using an internet connection, while E-LERT Mobile is made completely portable by using a wireless link.
The E-LERT software offers live, real-time monitoring of an event from the permanently mounted E-LERT system or from the entirely portable E-LERT Mobile application. Either method provides all the benefits of live monitoring without the risks and dangers associated with a hazardous or severe weather environment. Conditions are viewed from the convenience and safety of a controlled environment such as an Emergency Operations or Dispatch Center.
